Pictured here is a monolithic sculture Forest Boone cast in place, in what could possibly have been the world's largest mold, made of 2 pound density, rubber coated EPS styrofoam. He and his assistants made the mold in California, shipped it to Kauai, Hawaii, and poured in hundreds of thousands of pounds of intrinsically colored grout over a matrix of rebar. It is part of an educational and interpretive Navajo Indian Memorial located in Na Aina Kai Botanical Garden and Sculpture Park.
First sculpted and cast in wax, the final product, shown here was actually a gift (custom cuff links 1 1/2" in diameter)-for the former CEO of YUM! brands, David Novak.
